Taught Web Design and other Business classes to underclassmen first year. Now teaching Business classes (Introduction to Information Technology and Finance and Business Technology) to all high school grades.

Cypress Bay High School, Weston FL	Web Design Teacher, 2003–2008

Taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced Web Design. Developed curriculum enabling 10th grade students to advance within 1 to 2 years to a level of expertise equivalent to that of professional web designers. Web Design students regularly won district- and state-level competitions in HTML and web site development. Created and maintained school’s web site, administered FTP accounts for staff and students. Chaperoned students at regional and national BPA competitions.

Web Services Consulting Webmaster, Web Designer Freelance 1996–Present	Conduct research to select hosting services appropriate to clients’ needs. Domain name research and registration. Create and maintain web sites (personal sites, corporate sites, and starter designs) for clients. Provide custom-developed HTML and create Photoshop graphics. Webmaster, Web Designer EBS / Tangent Solutions Ft. Lauderdale FL 2001–2002	Created and maintained four professional quality commercial web sites. Created all professional marketing collateral and corporate graphics. Produced documentation for company’s software products. Handled confidential corporate SEC filings.

Webmaster, Web Designer Capitol Furniture Ft. Lauderdale FL 1999	Designed and created company’s web site, including conversion of thousands of graphics from print format to web format.

Webmaster, Web Designer EBS / Triangle Imaging Coconut Creek FL 1996–1998	Created and maintained four web sites for parent company and its subsidiaries. Responsible for company-wide internet connectivity, e-mail, and account security. Designed and created all marketing collateral, corporate and product logos, and SEC-compliant marketing materials for public offerings. Developed software documentation policies. Supervised vendors of photography and printing services. Chosen to provide company-wide training in Microsoft Office, and technical support for sales staff and all senior management, including CEO. Evaluated hardware and software for senior management. Led Y2K compliance effort. Initiated plan for MCSE certification.

Technical Support Verio — Boca Raton FL 2000–2001	Telephone and e-mail technical support (web hosting) for Unix and Windows web hosting.

Technical Support IBM — Boca Raton FL 1996	Telephone technical support (hardware) for IBM’s PC customers, following the rollout of Windows 95. Offered permanent position with IBM’s PC Help Center in North Carolina.

Software Consulting 1990–Present Clients include British Telecom (London), Martin Marietta, United Telephone, AAA, and General Mills (Orlando).	Purchased and installed software and hardware, trained end-users, maintained security of sensitive information. Hired for unique knowledge base, ability to parse complex projects into tasks for team execution. Extensive use of internet resources, production of corporate communications collateral, knowledge of graphic arts software and hardware, design and implementation of file management systems, and disaster-recovery procedures.

Publishing 1983–1994 Employers included CRC Press, HBJ, and the Modern Language Association.	Senior Staff Editor, Production Editor, Copy Editor, Proofreader, System Manager, Typographer, Graphic Designer. Designed and produced books, magazines, newsletters, and all varieties of printed matter, from advertising through post-doctoral medical research materials. Worked with authors throughout the process, from raw manuscript through copy-editing and production of bound books.
